Crime Partnership (CCP) Working Together with Businesses
Business crime is classed as any crime that affects a business or its staff during open or closed hours.
By working together businesses can make their areas safe and friendly places to work and visit.
CCP offers an open invitation to every business across Cherwell to join, share data, submit incident reports/photographs and be made aware of undesirable persons who may be active in their town.
This information is shared via a secure and authorised system called DISC (secure website or app).
There are a number of benefits for being a member:
- Dedicated local co-ordinators who champion local priorities and the needs of the business community
- Password protected website DISC providing accurate intelligence, news alerts, and up to date images of offenders who are subject to Exclusion, Warnings and Criminal Behaviour Orders
- Mobile app for Apple and Android phones which allow password encrypted access to the website, via your smartphone
- Report shoplifting crime on line, simply and quickly, direct to Thames Valley Police via DISC, without calling 101
- Optional access to the Storenet radio system for connecting and sharing information with the membership (additional charges apply)
- Secure information sharing agreement between the partnership and police
- The Cherwell Crime Partnership is an accredited member of the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships (NABCP) – the governing body of crime partnerships. Accreditation is renewed every two years
- Information sharing with members and partner agencies about local and travelling offenders
- An exclusion scheme prohibiting offenders from entering ‘any member premises’ for a period of 12 months
- Warning letters – issued to first time offenders to deter/prevent further incidents
- Weekly e-newsletter
- Free training with access to crime reduction publicity materials
- Window decals promoting the scheme to deter offenders.
JOIN NOW – GET THE PROTECTION YOU NEED
When you join a co-ordinator will visit and go through the scheme to ensure that all terms and conditions of membership are explained along with responsibilities regarding data protection/GDPR. At this time, new members sign and agree to the membership agreement and the authorisation form for their staff to have access to the DISC system. This process is completed each time businesses appoint new management.
By providing the tools needed to help prevent crime, we are serving not only your business but the whole community.
Membership fees for the partnership are (invoiced yearly or pro-rata on joining):

6-25 Employees
£130.00 p.a.
26-50 Employees
£200.00 p.a.
51+ Employees
£300.00 p.a.
STORENET
Partnership members share information in real time, enabling staff to take positive action to protect businesses, customers and staff via the Storenet radio system.
A direct link to other businesses in the community means members are informed and made aware of offenders and other vital information quickly and clearly.
Radio training is provided on delivery and can also be arranged through the co-ordinators on request. Contracts are 12 months at a cost of £7.50 per week and provide good value for money.
